Broken Pipe in Summer

A social service and mental health clinic serving Detroit and Dearborn, Michigan, had a pipe break in their kitchen over night. The ceiling pipe ran all night and flooded the entire 5,000 square foot building. A pipe breaking in August in very unusual, but it is possible. Typically a broken pipe in summer is the result of a damaged or incorrectly repaired pipe, as was the case here. Because the clinic provides such critical services to the community, they can not reduce their open hours. To help them we worked all weekend to get this building dried, cleaned, sanitized and back to business.
